Festive Foul Play: A Christmas Tragedy

‘Twas the night before Christmas, at the Ashton Estate in New York where Lord and Lady Ashton held their annual Christmas Eve dinner. It was traditionally an intimate family gathering, however this year they decided to extend the invitation to their close friends, the Armstrongs and the Hartleys. The dinner turned into a party, and the party turned into an overnight stay. But how long does it take for guests to overstay their welcome?

Apparently only a couple of hours. As the Sun rose on Christmas Day, everyone made their way down to breakfast except for Lady Ashton. It wasn’t long before Mrs. Armstrong found her lifeless on the ground of her husband’s study beside a broken glass that seemed to have been filled with poison. The possibility of the killer being an intruder has already been ruled out. This murder was personal.

The scandal would destroy all three families’ reputations, and they don’t have much time to figure out who the killer is before it ends up in the papers, or worse, before he/she strikes again.

What secrets did Lady Ashton have that were worth killing her for? The clock is ticking, and everyone is a suspect.
