ENTERING CANADA
Entry requirements for delegates will vary based on a variety of factors, most notably, method of entry and country of origin. We strongly encourage delegates to determine what requirements apply to them as early as possible.
If you're traveling from outside of Canada, below are some frequently asked questions regarding Visa Requirements:
Q: Do I need a Visa to enter Canada?
Visa requirements to enter Canada vary by country. Please check the Government of Canada website for up to date information on travel, visa requirements, applications, processes, requirements, and fees. The website also provides resources to determine if you require a Visitor Visa or eTA (Electronic Travel Authorization).
Please note that Visa processing times will differ by country, estimates are available here.
Q: If required, when should I apply for a Visitor Visa or eTA?
Processing times for Visitor Visas can vary by country and can take up to 6 months. We recommend that delegates apply as early as possible, ideally in September or October, to avoid potential complications.
For those who are eligible, an eTA typically takes a few days at most to process.
Q: If requested, will an invitation letter be issued to me?
Due to legal constraints, NAMUN will be unable to issue invitation letters for the 2025 conference. We apologize for the inconvenience.
If you have already registered and are unable to attend the conference due to this restriction, please contact us at external@namun.org to request a refund.
IMPORTANT NOTICES
A Visitor Visa does not guarantee entry at the border. Further questions may be asked regarding the purpose of your visit. Be sure to have an itinerary and return ticket booked, and ensure you are eligible to enter Canada without an invitation letter.
More information will be provided upon registration to help you through this process. Feel free to email us at external@namun.org with additional questions or concerns about international travel to Canada.
* Please note: This discount is contingent on at least 10 passengers using the promotion code. In order to take advantage of the discounted fares, Event delegates must book their flight at aircanada.com and enter the applicable Promotion Code in the search panel. If the Promotion Code is not entered or is entered incorrectly, the Discounts will not be applied to the booking. The applicable Promotion Code must be recorded on the delegate's ticket by ticketing agencies/airlines. The Discount is applied to the fare at the time that the travel ticket with Air Canada is purchased. The Discount and the fare are subject to all applicable taxes and surcharges. Only bookings made to the Event city are eligible for the Discount. Bookings originating in the convention city are not eligible.
NAMUN 2025 does not assume responsibility for any issues associated with the promotion code, including, but not limited to, the discount not applying to the ticket fare due to error or lack of minimum passenger requirement.
